My goal is to help educate about natural health in an easy way. To give my students the tools to become the teacher and share their knowledge with the circle around them. I have a passion for metabolic health, metabolism, hormones and integrative oncology (cancer care). In Naturopathic medicine, we use a conventional approach to physiology and diagnostics, yet focus in evidence based botanicals, lifestyle, supplements, hydrotherapy etc. We also give a nod to traditional Chinese medicine and energetic medicine, as holistic health includes the mind, body and spirit.
2. Jennifer Woolley
Jennifer is a wife to her husband of 15 years and a mother to her three children. Her journey to holistic medicine started with her son who suffered from allergies, sensitivities, learning disabilities, and behaviour troubles. This is where she learned how food can greatly influence health. She then went on to receive a diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Canadian College of Natural Nutrition. Followed by courses in breastfeeding, postpartum care, and becoming a doula. She continued her education and received her BA in Psychology at Laurentian University. With her love for both nutrition and mental health, she wanted to be able to encompass both aspects so she continued her education further and is now in her fourth year at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine getting her Doctorate of Naturopathy.
3.Raquel Cocquyt
Raquela a dedicated third-year Naturopathic Medical Student at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, committed to holistic health and wellness. My academic journey began with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brescia University College, where I also completed a Holistic Nutrition Certification.
My research focused on food addiction and preferences for palatable foods, supervised by Dr. Christine Tenk. This work culminated in the development of a novel Food Preference Questionnaire, which I presented at the Brescia Psychology Honours Thesis Conference.
Throughout my studies, I have received several prestigious awards, including the Brescia University College Principal’s Entrance Scholarship and the Suncor Energy Scholarship, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence.
I am actively involved in professional associations, including the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Alumni Association and the Holistic Nutrition Hub, where I continue to engage with the holistic health community. I am passionate about integrating my knowledge of psychology and nutrition into my future practice as a naturopathic doctor.
